DAY BY DAY ITINERARY:
DAY 1: MAUN, BOTSWANA
You arrive in Maun, Botswana, a typical african village, the oasis in the Kalahari Desert and the touristic centre for safaris in southern Africa.
At the airport you are warmly welcomed by the Kalahari Breeze Safaris-Team.
Explore the town and take in all the impressions.
DAY 2: OKAVANGO DELTA, BOTSWANA
Your safari starts in the heart of the Okavango Delta, the world`s largest inland delta, declared 1000th UNSECO World Heritage. By speedboat you are taken deep in the delta where you enjoy a whole day in a Mokoro, the traditional canoe. Feel the peace and spirit of the Okavango while watching hippos and elephants swim.
DAYS 3 – 7: SEMI-LUXURIOUS CAMPING SAFARI through MOREMI, KHWAI, SAVUTE, CHOBE (bedded tented camp)
Now you experience the wilderness and the animals as closely as possible. Your mobile semi-luxurious Safari takes you through all National Parks in the north of Botswana. In open 4×4-safari-vehicles (max. 9passengers) you explore nature and wildlife in Chobe, Savuti, Moremi and Khwai with your personal guide.
You camp directly in the parks and cross the wilderness until you arrive in Kasane, a boarder town next to Chobe Nationalpark. At any time you can feel safe even if you find yourself within striking distance to wild animals.
Your guide is highly qualified and trained by Botswana Guide Association. You sleep in bedded tents with proper duvets. Daily you enjoy fresh and tasty meals. This is possible because a Back Up Team is available 24/7.
In Kasane you enjoy a relaxing boat cruise on Chobe River, the natural boarder between Botswana and Namibia, while sharing the experiences of the last days.
DAY 8: VICTORIA FALLS, ZIMBABWE
The tour continues in Zimbabwe to the Victoria Falls, the waterfalls which cover the longest distance worldwide. They got decared one of the Seven World Wonders of Nature.
Visit Livingstone Island. This Island in Zambezi River at the edge of the Victoria Falls is highly protected area. Only three times daily 16 perople are allowed to put foot on the island. Enjoy a boat cruise to the island. After a delicious lunch you visit the so called Devils Pool. This natural pool is from august to january a highight for couragous visitors, who dare to take a bath on the edge of the Victoria Falls while while looking down the 103m that the water drops behind them.
DAY 9: VICTORIA FALLS, ZIMBABWE
In the eary morning you start your day with a so called „Boiling Pot Hike“.
This hike over rocks and by raft (an inflatable canoe) from Banoka Gorge underneath the Victoria Falls Bridge to the base of the falls is a breathtaking experience. Take a swim and get a new perspective of the dropping falls. It needs a generel level of fitness to do this tour. If you do not feel capable you can join a tour of the impressive historic bridge. If water level do not allow the Boiling Pot Hike to take place, you are offered a Canopy Tour through the Gorge of the Victoria Falls.
In the afternoon you can chose between an Elephant Back Safari and a Walk With The Lions, where you are integrated in the pack and join the lions on their walk through their territory in the wild. If the animals accept your company you can touch them and take plenty pictures.
A variaty of additional activities is available around the Victoria Falls. They can be booked additionally. Bungee Jumps off the Victoria Falls Bridge, canoe trails, etc.
DAY 10: TRAVEL FROM VICTORIA FALLS, ZIMBABWE to WINDHOEK, NAMIBIA
The flight price is not included in this offer but we are happy to help you find the best offer for you. If it gives you a cheaper flight rate we you can chose a different route. Fly either from Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe) or Livingstone (Zambia) to Windhoek (Namibia) or Walvis Bay (Namibia).
We are going to adapt the itinerary so that you can use the cheapest flight available.
If you are on a very tight budget, we can also advice you on how to travel on public transport.
DAY 11: WINDHOEK, NAMIBIA
Explore Namibias Capital on your own and on a Windhoek City Tour. The guided Sightseeing-Tour shows you the most beautiful corners of the city.
DAY 12: SWAKOPMUND, NAMIBIA
From the Windhoek we transfer you to Swakopmund. The towns Walvis Bay und Swakopmund are on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean abut on the edge of the Namib Desert.
Enjoy sun, sea, beach and the view on the water from one of the plenty cafés.
DAY 13: SWAKOPMUND, NAMIBIA
For your morning activity you have the choice between two options:
. • Dolphine Cruise
. • Pelican Cayaking
Start the day with a Dolphine Cruise. On a yachtlike catamaran you „set sail“ in the early morning, On the way to the seals you are accompanied by dolphins jumping sprightly. After arriving at the sandbank you meet the seals. It is very likely that some of the animals welcome their visitors by jumping on deck. With sparkling wine and oysters you enjoy the waves and the sea dwellers until you go ashore.
Start the day with a Cayak Tour to Pelican Point. If you are lucky you can see dolphines and seals, too.
The afternoon programm is dominated by the desert. The red sand dunes of the Namib are a paradies for Adrenaline Junkies. On a three-hours-Quad- und Sandboarding-Tour you ride and glide the sand masses. The daring ones among you can do so called RollerCoasters and other stunts. If you prefer a more relaxing activity there are plenty of Deserttours like the „Living desert Tour“ that we can offer you as alternative.
A variaty of additional activities is available around the Victoria Falls. They can be booked additionally. Sky Dives, canoe trails, etc.
DAY 14: SWAKOPMUND, NAMIBIA
Once again you have the choice between two activity options:
. • Living Desert Tour
. • Camel Riding
Get to know the desert. The Living Desert Tour takes you to a world full of flora and fauna that you wouldt expect to find between the never ending sand banks.
